I've been involved in antiques since 1978, first as an appraiser,
then a silver dealer and, since 1987, dealing in fine furniture and
decorative arts. My husband Ted, who has a financial background,
joined me in 1992. We deal in fine antiques, English and Continental,
17th to 19th century.
Our shop, Isaacs & Isaacs Antiques, enjoyed a great deal
of success in Louisville as well as nationally in antique shows in
New York, Nashville, Birmingham, Louisville, Lexington, Lake Forest,
Winnetka and Cincinnati. We have now retired from shows but continue
to maintain an active business, which we run personally, giving great
attention to details.
We have closed our retail shop after 22 years, and bring all of our past experience to our
Internet endeavor. Our antique business is now located in our warehouse operation in
Brownsboro, Kentucky, near Crestwood, where we continually update our website as we
receive new shipments from England. As always, we continue to focus on special orders
for English antiques and reproduced bespoke furniture.
We take buying trips to Europe several times a year, buying from
a variety of sources. Every piece of inventory is personally selected
with utmost care.
I no longer do appraisals, but have been a member in good standing
of the Appraisers Association of America for many years and bring
to our business the integrity and code of ethics you deserve and
can expect when making a purchase, large or small.
